Location: Saint-Amour, à 12 km at the south of Mâcon
AOC: Saint Amour
Soils: Granite, schistose and pebbly; east, south-east exposure
Grape Varieties: 100% Gamay
Age of the Vineyard: 40 years on average, with plots more than 70 years old
Culture: Integrated cultivation to reduce the use of plant protection products and weed killers; short pruning (in cups) and leaf stripping
Wine making: After the manual harvest, traditional vinification with temperature control.
Ageing: 5 to 6 months in stainless steel vats
Cellaring: 3 to 5 years
Tasting: This wine is characterised by its purple colour and its length on the palate; it is a full-bodied wine with aromas of red fruits and a hint of spices.
