Our History of Farming and Winemaking

The Beginning

It all began in 2019 whilst touring the best vineyards and artisan producers in France. Our journey started from our hometown, Toulouse, in the south west of France. We travelled over 3000km to personally taste and select each wine and delicacy offered by Oulala.

We choose only the best that each region specialises in, such as Margaux and St Emilion appellation red wines from Bordeaux and Chablis and Pommard wines from Bourgogne. We also source duck preserves from the South West and Rose wines from Provence.

The Oulala collection is ever evolving and we aim to travel to France regularly to research  and source new additions. We offer over 200 varieties of wine, including a large number or everyday wines to be enjoyed with dinner at home; some occasional wines that are perfect to enjoy with friends; and an exclusive selection of exceptional vintage wines for your collection or for those special occasions.

“The most rewarding part of what I do is being able to see the full growing season from pruning to bud break through harvest.”

AUTHENTICITY AND TRADITIONS

At Oulala we are firm believers in working hand in hand with the producers. We know where our products come from and how well they are made. We personally hand-pick each item we stock. Quality and service excellence are at the heart of our philosophy. Our customers can rest assured that all our offer is authentic and of outstanding quality.

OUR MISSION: CELEBRATING THE FINEST THINGS IN LIFE

Our attention to detail enables us to deliver exclusive experiences of exceptional quality because we thrive on celebrating the finest things in life and on creating everyday luxury.

We wish to celebrate the best that France has to offer and share it with our New Zealand community.

We plan to expand our future offering and include a growing number of hand crafted items and other hand made products such as knives, cheeses, cured meat and more. Everything that makes life a bit tastier in the French way.
